Uluwatu reveals itself slowly, on foot. Limestone paths trace the clifftops, dropping now and then to a hidden cove far below.
Walk north from Suluban as the light softens and the coastline opens out, raw, wind-bent and almost empty. The paths are unmarked; locals and time are the only guides.
